Kitanomaru Garden

The Kitanomaru Park is one of the national parks managed by the Ministry of the Environment, which was originally the location of the Kitanomaru in Edo Castle. It has a lot of cultural facilities and some remains are designated as important cultural properties.  “Hikarigoke” (luminous moss) which is a natural treasure grows wild on the rock wall of the west moat. It is a valuable moss that you can see only naturally in a cave in cold regions.
