The well-known Tsukiji Market moved to Toyosu in October 2018. However, the Tsukiji Outer Market is still open in its old location. Tsukiji Uogashi which is a new three-story building in the Outer Market is wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair users can enjoy shopping in the safe building. Other shops on the streets are also on the ground level. They do not have to be concerned about stairs and steps. But there are many small shops on the crowded streets. Wheelchair users need to be careful of crowds of people when shopping around and having meals at restaurants on the streets.
