In general, hospital reception desks are usually open from 8:30 to 11:30 on weekdays. You often have to wait for a long time, usually for two to three hours. Reception desks at clinics or general practitioners are generally open 9:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 17:00 weekdays. There are some facilities which are also open on Saturday mornings. There are some hospital information centers which can help you with information on hospitals with foreign language speaking doctors, the Japanese medical system and interpretation services.
